Hailing from Sicily, this pasta literally translates to "homemade". Shaped like an S or an unfurled scroll, these folds are excellent at catching the chunkier pairings it is often paired with.
Casarecce is most at home with Sicilian pesto variations such as pistachio and tranpanese. Extruded through 100% bronze dies, this method creates superior texture for sauce to adhere to. Although an uncommon pasta shape in the US, Casarecce is a favorite of our customers (and us).
